8. Follow procurement process

With your risk assessment complete, you’re ready to begin procurement.

  1. Submit a Case via the New Technology Consultation and Assessment request, in the CDT IT Service Portal.
  2. Review the GenAI procurement process.
  3. If your risk level was moderate or high, include the required GenAI disclosure and contract language in your procurement.
  4. Check with Labor Relations if the purchase will require any notice and/or bargaining with union(s) prior to implementation.
  5. If you need assistance, contact your CDT Customer Engagement Services Account Lead, or email CDTGenAIIntakeRequest@state.ca.gov to discuss your questions and needs.
